Figure shows the TTT-diagram of primary crystallization of an amorphous phase and supercooled liquid in Fe81Zr9B10 metallic glass. It was constructed using isothermal DSC measurement; the melt-spun amorphous specimen was rapidly heated at a constant rate of 0.83Ks.1 to the desired temperature and then isothermally annealed in a DSC furnace. One can see that the supercooled liquid maintained its liquid structure for about 200 s even at a temperature above Tg. The thermal crystallization behavior of an amorphous phase was investigated by isothermal annealing of a melt-spun specimen at 828 K, lower than Tg by 20 K.
